Welcome to our very first blog post! We’re excited to share how Benissimo Pizza came to life—our journey from a casual conversation to launching our own authentic Italian pizza catering service. 

How It All Started:

It all began in August 2024, during a summer evening at a friend’s house. After a few beers (as all great ideas seem to start!), James and Ben, childhood friends, began discussing their shared dream of starting a business together. 

James had been considering starting a food business for a while, and after chatting with Ben, the idea of creating handmade, stone-baked pizzas seemed perfect. Why pizza? Because Italian pizza is timeless, delicious, and creates unforgettable experiences for people. 

Why a Pizza Trailer? 

We knew we didn’t just want to serve pizza—we wanted to create a memorable experience for every event. So, the idea of a converted horsebox pizza trailer was born. 

Just four days later, we tracked down a beautiful Rice horsebox, and our pizza adventure officially began! 

Our goal was simple: create a mobile pizzeria that could bring a slice of Italy to weddings, festivals, corporate events, and private parties across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, and London. 

What’s Next? 

We’re gearing up for our launch party this Easter weekend and can’t wait to serve our first guests at the very same friend’s house where we had that life-changing conversation!
